Earthquakes reunion weekend offers a chance to get the band back together
This year marks the 35th anniversary of the founding of the San Jose Earthquakes, which entered the NASL in 1974, and this weekend will see nearly 40 former players return, including 11 members of the original 1974 edition. The inaugural season of FC Gold Pride will end without playoffs after yesterday’s match against St. Louis Athletica ended in a 1-1 draw. FCGP had a lot of chances in the first half but couldn’t convert and eventually fell behind on a 28th minute goal from Niki Cross.
