Wolff unveils stadium plans at SSVCF Annual Dinner

(Courtesy 360 Architecture, San Jose Earthquakes)San Jose Earthquakes owner Lew Wolff gave illustrations of the team’s proposed stadium their public debut last night at the Soccer Silicon Valley (SSV) Community Foundation dinner, an event which drew nearly 400 to the Regency Ballroom at the San Jose Fairmont Hotel. The stadium, with a seated capacity of 15,000 and room for another 5,000 fans on a grass berm at one end, features steeply-pitched stands and a sound-reflecting canopy which is designed to hold in sound, thereby creating a more sonically intense experience for all involved. The first three rows immediately adjacent to the field are in a separate tier which will bring fans as close to the action as the coaches on the sidelines.Here are video highlights of Wolff’s presentation at the dinner.
