Hernandez, Wondolowski undergo surgery; Glen likely to follow

San Jose Earthquakes manager Frank Yallop confirmed that defender Jason Hernandez and forward Chris Wondolowski both had surgery on Thursday in the hope that both will be back in time for the opening of training camp in late January/early February.
A Quakes’ spokesman indicated that Hernandez had surgery to repair a torn deltoid ligament in his left ankle, while Wondolowski’s operation was to fix a torn LCL, and not a PCL as Yallop indicated earlier this week.
Yallop also revealed that forward Cornell Glen will likley have an operation on his right knee, although he didn’t indicate the nature of the procedure. Glen has been battling a meniscus problem in his knee for some time, and it is suspected that the Trinidad & Tobago striker will have arthroscopic surgery to clear up the problem. In any event, Glen is a no go for this weekend’s match against Chivas USA.
