Gold Pride pre-season schedule features three local exhibitions

Bay Area fans will get three free opportunities to see the new and improved FC Gold Pride during their month-long preseason schedule, with exhibition matches taking place in Danville, San Francisco, and Santa Clara.
After a week of optional workouts, the team’s official preseason training camp kicks off on Monday, March 8. The side’s first friendly takes place that Saturday, March 13, at the Mustang Soccer Complex in Danville, where they will face Japanese side TEPCO Mareeze at 6:30 p.m. and star forward, Japan international Karina Maruyama.
Next on the exhibition schedule is a Thursday, March 25 match against USF at Negoesco Field, with a 7:30 kickoff. The Pride close out their preseason schedule at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 1 at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara against the Broncos.
All three matches are open to the public; admission is free.
FC Gold Pride kicks off the regular season on Sunday, April 11, away to St. Louis Athletica. FCGP’s home season starts on Saturday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m. against WPS champions Sky Blue FC at CVHS Athletic Stadium in Castro Valley.
