Hanley poised to re-join Dynamo

By Jeff Carlisle · January 12, 2009

I happened to catch Tim Hanley on the phone late last week, and he informed me that he was set to get on a plane to head to the MLS Combine in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Why? To rejoin old pal Dominic Kinnear in Houston as the Dynamo’s goalkeeper coach, reprising the role he had from 2006 to midway through the 2007 season.

In case you are wondering, yes, that means Centerline will no longer be blessed with Tim’s spot on pre-game analysis, but we wish him well just the same.

Fantastic! 2 1/2 months to the season opener and we have no keeper coach and only one keeper.

yea, i think jason batty is the quakes goalkeeping coach. Tim Hanley was a contributer to centerline, doing those awesome pregame reports. I’m really going to miss those next season.

Sorry to see him leave the site, but I am sure he’ll do well over there. Thanks, Tim!

It’s been fun hearing about what Tim has to say on CLS–good luck to him. Of course, when his team is playing anyone except the Quakes. ;-)

Just in case he wants to move back to being a columist, he’s always welcome to return. =) cheers!

We’ll really miss the Tim’s excellent match analyses here. But his “Dynamo love” was quite evident in his columns, so I guess I’m not completely surprised by the move. Best of luck, Tim, but may your ‘keepers pull many balls out of the net when you are playing the Quakes. :)
