One of the more enjoyable projects I work on each week is the new and improved podcast collaboration by the San Jose Earthquakes and Center Line Soccer called appropriately enough -- The Quakes Cast. Along side Center Line's official photographer Joe Nuxoll and former player and current Earthquakes Ambassador Kelly Gray, the three of us review the previous Quakes game, answer listener questions, and preview the Quakes upcoming game. Occasionally we delve off into any and all subject matter that gets our attention around MLS as well. My favorite segment of the show is our interview with someone, be it a journalist, player, coach, you name, representing the upcoming opponent.

On this week's show, entitled "Episode III, Return of the Wondo" we celebrate the big away win in Dallas before turning most of our attention forward to the weekend match against Seattle. Kelly breaks down some of what it means to be a central defender versus an outside back, as we try to figure out how to get Ike Opara on the field. Sounders FC play-by-play announcer Arlo White soothes us with his news and views from the Emerald City soccerverse in an all too brief conversation (the 20 or so minutes I had to cut for the sake of time will remain in my personal audio collection). Lastly we rag on Joe for being a Seattle native who -- gasp -- has the gall to occasionally wear his Sounders jersey publicly around San Jose. For shame Joe...

Take a listen before the Seattle match, and be sure to subscribe on iTunes to never miss an episode of the Quakes Cast. And as always, please feel free to leave your comments, questions, complaints, and kudos in the section below.
