Bad breaks for MLS

The news that another skilled player in MLS has fallen victim to a broken leg from a bad tackle — this time, it was Javier Morales of Real Salt Lake — should be a concern to everyone associated with the league. While physical play has been used to neutralize skill for as long as the game has been played, there need to be limits on just what is permitted.
