Quakes Cast Episode 19: Plenty of fireworks on and off the field against the New York Red Bulls, plus a look ahead to Chivas USA on the road and the Philadelphia Union at home

Episode 19 of the Quakes Cast features an expanded look at the 2-2 draw against the New York Red Bulls and a look ahead to the midweek excursion to the Home Depot Center to face Chivas USA. With the smoke cleared from the big post-game fireworks show, the podcasting trio set their sites on what went right and wrong for the Earthquakes on the field at Stanford Stadium. Plus, with Bobby Burling receiving a second yellow card late in the match, and thus earning a one game suspension, they discuss the potential replacements in the line-up that might face Chivas USA. Hint: the photo accompanying this podcast reveals the likely center back partner for Jason Hernandez.

Hosts Kelly, Robert, and Joe also look forward to the next home match this Saturday against the Philadelphia Union, especially given that it is root beer float night in the Epicenter fan zone. Come by and see if you can chug a root beer float as quickly as Steven Lenhart. As for the team, the Earthquakes have suffered only one loss in their last nine league matches, but following two straight home draws, they will need to pick up the pace or potentially slide down the MLS Western Conference table. Lots to cover this week on the Quakes Cast, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
