SB Nation undergoing Extreme Makeover: New logos debut

Meet the new QRG logo, same as the old QRG logo.
Meet the new QRG logo, same as the old QRG logo.

It’s with great pleasure that SB Nation unveils the first step in the next evolution of the network and Quake, Rattle, and Goal -- a new logo! In the next month SB Nation will be undergoing a dramatic upgrade to its platform and editorial process. There will be much more detail to come. For now, the new logo above is just a first taste of what is coming for QRG.

This is a small, but important sample of what is coming when our network undergoes its most exciting and radical transformation in the eight-year history of the company. A new visual identity here and across the network is only one step we are taking to unite the network of sites. United through individuality is the underlying theme of this project.

As part of the new look of QRG, the San Jose Earthquakes distinctive team colors and the unique old-time 45 record inspiring design of the prior logo are both maintained. The redesign is intended to make it clear to all sports fans that QRG is stylistically integrated into the larger SB Nation network. QRG wants everyone to know that they can find the same type of great writing, videos, and commentary on all 350-plus sites on the network. Be sure to browse through all the new logos on a special page that was put together at sbnation.com/united.

Even with the changes, a strong commitment to passionately following MLS will continue at QRG. It’s what makes being a part of the SB Nation network a special honor. The new logo and impending new look for the website will only improve the experience of Earthquakes supporters looking for a community they can call their own. Welcome to the future of SB Nation.
