"Passion gets what it wants..."
Nothing to argue with there. The 2012 San Jose Earthquakes were a jolly bunch all season as they marched to the Supporters' Shield. A record-setting year on offense was paced by Golden Boot winner Chris Wondolowski. A solid defensive core was anchored by MLS Newcomer of the Year Victor "Muma" Bernardez. The midfield was electrified by the exploits of the now EPL-based Simon Dawkins.
And the crowd?
The Buck Shaw Stadium supporters, from the 1906 Ultras along one byline to the Casbah and beer garden denizens along the opposite byline, experienced their most exhilarating season to date. So with the new Earthquakes stadium on the horizon (the southeast horizon, to be exact), 2013 will be the farewell season at The Buck. MLS action, CONCACAF Champions League action, maybe with some luck U.S. Open Cup action -- Buck Shaw will have it all this year. And it all starts March 3.
Will you be there to "Unleash Your Passion?"
