The San Jose Earthquakes and their fans did not exactly have a trip to remember in the Rose City last weekend, as a thorny 1-0 loss to the Portland Timbers punctuated by Alan Gordon’s red card and blue language was forgettable but not to be forgotten. The same two teams will do battle again this weekend at Buck Shaw, with the Quakes looking to take a measure of revenge against a team they have failed to beat in six matches all-time.
