Beating the Seattle Sounders 1-0 back on July 13 gave the San Jose Earthquakes only their second clean sheet of the season. Topping the Portland Timbers two weeks later gave the Quakes consecutive victories for the first time all season. Thoroughly dominating Chivas USA last Saturday pushed San Jose's winning streak to three games. In less than a month's time, the Earthquakes have gone from also-ran in the Western Conference to a mere 8 points beyond leaders Real Salt Lake, and the defending Supporters' Shield winners are talking about making a serious run at the playoffs. Good times!
Robert Jonas, Joe Nuxoll, Lisa Erickson, and Lyndsay Radnedge are at the ready to lead you on a lengthy journey of Quakes news and views on Episode 19 of the CLS Radio roundtable. Plenty of discussion about the action on the field as well as a comprehensive report on the 1906 Ultras imbroglio off it. Can cooler heads prevail in this ongoing situation?
