Center Line Soccer has been among the many followers of the San Jose Earthquakes U18, U16 and U14 academy teams, who have all had a successful first half of their 2014-15 campaigns. The squads are currently on hiatus until the New Year, the coaches and players can enjoy the season's festivities with pride in their success, and anticipation of continued success in 2015.

Under 18 Squad.
The U18s go into the holiday break with an impressive 10-3-2 record (2.13 points per game), lying in third place of the West Conference, just behind the Vancouver Whitecaps and Seattle Sounders academy teams. Zack Penner has 7 goals, with Stanford commit Amir Bashti with 6 goals on the season. The U18s, coached by Marquis White, resume their season Saturday January 17 on the road, with their first home game on Saturday February 7th against Real So Cal. The U18 schedule continues through June 2015 up and down the west coast, often on the same itinerary as the U16 squad.

Under 16 Squad.
The U16s go into the holiday break with an 7-4-3 record (1.71 points per game), and the Earthquakes are lying in third place of the West Conference, just behind the Vancouver Whitecaps and Portland Timbers Academy teams. Ivan Valencia 5 goals, going into the break, closely followed by Kaya Fabretti with 4 goals so far in the season. The U18s, coached by Stephen Wondolowski, resume their season Saturday January 17 on the road in LA, with their first home game on Saturday February 7th against Real So Cal. The U16 schedule continues through June 2015 up and down the west coast, often on the same itinerary as the U18 squad.

Under 14 Squad.
The U14s go into the holiday break with an 9-2-1 record. Adonis Diaz and Oscar Govea are tied with 9 goals, going into the break, with Jason Yanes just one goal behind (8). The U14s, coached by Jeff Jenkins, resume their season Saturday February 7 on the road at Merced, with their first home game on Saturday February 721st against Santa Cruz Breakers. The U14 schedule continues through June 2015.

Meanwhile, the next generation of academy players will be discovered at the Earthquakes open tryouts for its '02, '01 and '99 PDA teams. The tryouts will be held on December 6th and Jan 11th. Additional tryout dates will take place in January by invitation only.
