Alan Gordon's greatest moment for the San Jose Earthquakes

Gordon's career in San Jose lasted just over three years. His biggest moment in an Earthquakes jersey? There is no question.

The San Jose Earthquakes made official today what had been rumored for weeks: Alan Gordon has been traded to the LA Galaxy. In exchange for the 32-year old, the Quakes received an undisclosed amount of allocation money, making it hard to really judge which side got the better end of the deal.

One thing is certain, Earthquakes fans will have countless memories of the big target forward's heroics. Without question, the highlight of Gordon's stay in San Jose was his header to beat the Galaxy in last summer's California Clasico at Stanford Stadium.

A bloodied Steven Lenhart had to leave the game that evening, but in stepped Gordon to save the day. And maybe more epic than Gordon's game winning goal was Kelly Gray and Dan Dibley's call on the TV broadcast. "Alan Gordon! Alan Gordon! Alan Gordon!"

Are there other moments from Gordon's time with the Quakes that you find memorable? Be sure to share your thoughts on in the comments section below.
