WEEK 6: #PORvSJE
A reminder that there are several Away Quakes viewing parties around the Bay Area. Check on Reddit for where people are gathering, or start your own!
Many of the Quakes FO staff can be found at Rookies in San Jose, & at this match there was a guest barkeep:
& always opportunity to be part of Quakes journalistic history:
But there are Quakes fans all over California:
And if for some reason you can't watch the game on TV, try old-timey radio!
Portland, Seattle, & Vancouver revel in their Cascadia Cup, & Seattle constantly tries to "meh" the significance of the Heritage Cup. But there's definitely a different buzz in the air & tension on the pitch when the Quakes play the Timbers, and it's building into a quality back-&-forth series of games. Timbers fans still hurt over Ultra-invovled incidence of violence years ago, & rightfully so. Hopefully as the quality of matches between Portland & San Jose continues to improve we'll all be able to enjoy our West Coast rivalry.
Though all the Pacific Northwest probably can't wait for Sacramento to enter MLS to distract our attention with the Hella Cup.
Quakes fans hella excited for it too!
Some surprises in the Starting XI:
Colvey and Sarkodie starting. :O #Quakes74— Quakes Fans (@QuakesFan) April 17, 2016
You can already see the difference with Godoy back in the XI. #Quakes74— Quakes Epicenter (@QuakesEpicenter) April 17, 2016
OH MY GOD CLEAR THE FUCKING BALL #Quakes74— Tim H. (@DoHimJob) April 17, 2016
Imperiale stood out, great half from him. Dawkins looked good at times but also a bit tired. Same with Quintero. #Quakes74— Quakes Epicenter (@QuakesEpicenter) April 17, 2016
