Run of Games: "The Aftershock" Analyzes the Latest Stretch

After a longish gap between Center Line Soccer appearances, "The Aftershock" returns to review the NYRB, POR, SKC, and PHI games

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

It's been a slog of games, but the San Jose Earthquakes don't look much worse for the wear, collecting 7 points from 12 despite some travels and stretches of patchy play. In the latest episode of "The Aftershock," I break down the Sporting Kansas City 1-0 victory and the haphazard 1-1 draw with the Philadelphia Union. If you didn't catch either of the previous few games and want a breakdown, I've also included episodes focusing on the preceding two games against the Portland Timbers and New York Red Bulls, embedded below.

Each episode has plenty of me pontificating and analyzing solo, but bonus features include post-game audio from the Red Bulls and SKC matches, an in-brewery post-mortem with Dan Burkhead after Portland, and an interview at training with Coach Dominic Kinnear.

Tomorrow, look out for an exclusive interview with Quakes President Dave Kaval.

And here's an injury report going into Seattle:

"The Aftershock," the only media podcast dedicated to the San Jose Earthquakes, is hosted by Colin Etnire and is in its second season. You can find it on iTunes, Stitcher, or at the host.
