The Aftershock: Dave Kaval

Dave Kaval, President of the San Jose Earthquakes, sits down for an exclusive interview with "The Aftershock" to discuss the business and strategic aspects of the club.

Since Dave Kaval took over as San Jose Earthquakes President in 2010, a lot has changed for the club, with the Quakes earning their first silverware since returning to San Jose and subsequently moving into the first stadium they could call their own. A businessman by training, he joined "The Aftershock" podcast to answer the kinds of questions that fans ask me all the time but I can't answer without going directly to the source.

Topics covered include Avaya Stadium, potential partnerships with USL and NWSL, the Academy complex, player recruitment and scouting, on-field performance, relationships with supporters groups (online and in-stadium), and even how he fell in love with soccer for the first time at the World Cup in Italy in 1990.

"The Aftershock," the only media podcast dedicated to the San Jose Earthquakes, is hosted by Colin Etnire and is in its second season. You can find it on iTunes, Stitcher, or at the host.
