Earthquakes Make Trade with Toronto for Allocation Money

Quakes move down in the allocation order for $150,000

The San Jose Earthquakes announced that they have made a trade with Toronto FC that will move them down four spots in the allocation ranking in return for $75,000 of General Allocation Money (GAM) and $75,000 of Targeted Allocation Money (TAM). This extra money can be used by new manager Matias Almeyda to begin rebuilding this squad in his vision. The Earthquakes have a history of making big money deals for players that don’t deliver the results but hopefully this is a sign of the Quakes front office taking a different approach.

Transaction: San Jose Earthquakes (MLS) - Earthquakes acquire $75,000 of General Allocation Money (GAM), $75,000 of Targeted Allocation Money (TAM) and the No. 6 spot in the Allocation Ranking Order from Toronto FC in exchange for the No. 2 spot in the Allocation Ranking Order.
