As our San Jose Earthquakes advent calendar moves on its time to see what is behind door number 16 and as the door opens delicious smelling steam pours out, and we are presented with something that San Jose does better than most: Pho.
Comedian Kyle Kinane once described Pho as, ”what happens when a former child soldier pours hot rainwater over fish nightmares– it’s delicious, and I can’t stop eating it,” and San Jose has enough varieties that you can go your whole life without getting the same style twice. A foodie dream in the south bay. San Jose boasts the largest Vietnamese community outside of Vietnam, and if you venture into Little Saigon you will be overwhelmed by the delicious smells on every corner, but one dish stands out. Pho seems to come in endless varieties and is a cure for a variety of ailments, and San Jose is one of the best places in the world to enjoy this delicious dish. Next time you are heading to Avaya for a match make sure to make some time to try out a couple different bowls.
What will be behind tomorrows door, check back tomorrow to find out?
