San Jose Earthquakes to face Sporting KC in playoffs on Nov. 22

Clear your calendar for the big day.

MLS: San Jose Earthquakes at Sporting Kansas City Peter G. Aiken

The date is set, as now the San Jose Earthquakes know exactly when they’ll play in the 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs.

San Jose will play Sporting Kansas City on Sunday, Nov. 22 in Round One at Children’s Mercy Park, in a one-game single-elimination format.

The teams haven’t faced off in 2020, so it’s hard to project what will happen here. Sporting KC are the top seed and the Earthquakes are the lowest seed in the Western Conference, so coming in San Jose will be huge underdogs. But hey, it’s MLS, it’s 2020, and it’s one game. Anything can happen. Anything.

The game is scheduled for 1 pm PT “kickoff” (the game may have a 30-minute lead-in show, so kickoff may be around 1:30) on FS1 and Fox Deportes in the United States.

So there you have it. Mark your calendar and get ready for the Quakes in the playoffs, it’s happening!
