San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Jackson Yueill has been added to the U.S. Men’s National Team roster for the current training camp and upcoming friendly against El Salvador.

The friendly, to be played Dec. 9 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., will close out the year for the USMNT, before they convene for a planned January training camp, an annual tradition for the national team program.

Yueill has started to emerge as a regular option for the USMNT, making seven appearances for the senior team to date and coming off a strong campaign in 2020 for the Earthquakes. The steady central midfielder is indispensable for his club and could be on his way to that for his country under head coach Gregg Berhalter, too.

He’s the only member of the Earthquakes’ roster to be called up to the USMNT this time around. With the team’s season over, the players will have to wait for their own respective international call-ups or for the 2021 season to roll around to play games again.

We’ll keep an eye on the friendly and fill you in if Yueill sees playing time.
