MLS issued a moratorium on training through the weekend to try and hold off the spread of coronavirus, but that has been extended through the working week, too, as teams like the San Jose Earthquakes won’t be able to train together through Friday. Given the league is on a 30-day break, I wouldn’t expect training to necessarily start back up at the weekend, either, but if the spread of coronavirus is slowed, I suppose it could happen.
More news around the Quakes:
- TomThom has challenge to players: Tommy Thompson is the king of skillz and the Quakes player is unsurprisingly trying to keep spirits up, with his “Stay at Home” skills challenge a great idea. As someone who has a tiny backyard but does like to do footwork drills, this is great for the youths and olds alike.
Stay at home challenge! I’m sure there are a lot of youth soccer players out there not able to practice like they would normally. Here are some fun skills I used to work on at home. Send me videos once you get them down and I’ll share them. Stay positive and get to practicing! pic.twitter.com/vC32rxfmxA

- George Best’s greatest goal: Bless the Quakes for sharing this clip, of the original NASL Quakes team and Manchester United legend George Best with the best goal of his career, scored in San Jose.
Let's take it back to Spartan Stadium.

His name? George Best.
He said this spectacular finish was the greatest goal he has ever scored in his historic career.
Time to marvel at his brilliance. pic.twitter.com/2Hy07FwtM9
- U.S. Open Cup postponed: The oldest soccer competition in the United States has been put on hold, as expected. The tournament was scheduled to start next month, but that won’t be happening and we’ll see when and how it will.
Today’s question: How are you holding up? Are you hanging out at home or having to go to work? Let’s chat in the comments.
