The San Jose Earthquakes are just a few days away from their first scheduled game at the MLS is Back Tournament, set to take place in Orlando for roughly the next month.
With the Quakes opener almost right around the corner, I figured it would be worthwhile to go over the TV info for this tournament. Namely, all of the games will be aired on national television.
That’s important to know because none of the games in the tournament will be aired on NBC Sports California or NBC Sports Bay Area, as they usually are in the Bay Area on local broadcasts. If the league will continue play after the MLS is Back Tournament with games in local venues, I would expect the local broadcasters to get back into airing games, but for the next month, there won’t be any games on the local networks.
So where can you watch the Earthquakes’ games? Here’s the handy info.
Update: After the group was shuffled around, and the opening game’s time was changed, here are the new times:
- Friday, July 10: vs. Seattle Sounders, 6 pm PT, ESPN, ESPN Deportes
- Wednesday, July 15: vs. Vancouver Whitecaps, 7:30 pm PT, TUDN, Twitter.com (English)
- Sunday, July 19: vs. Chicago Fire, 5 pm PT, FS1, TUDN
So there you have it. Now you know what channels they’ll be on and whether or not you need to get your cable subscription firing back up ahead of the action. You can also watch these games on Fubo TV if you need a streaming/cable platform.
